  • What is ROOT?
    ROOT is the convenience of having fresh, healthy, and organic farmers market goods delivered straight to your doorstep. We work directly with local farmers and producers to bring you the best selection of wholesome, sustainably sourced foods, with the added benefit of supporting your local economy.
  • How does it work?
    Step 1: Browse and Add to Cart Browse the Marketplace and select items for checkout. Step 2: Submit Order We are accepting a limited amount of orders. The sooner that you place your order, the higher priority you will receive. Submit your order by Monday at 5:00 pm PST to be delivered the following day and await email with your invoice. Step 3: Pay and Confirm Order Pay for your order and receive an order confirmation via email. Step 4: Receive your Delivery On Tuesday, we will fulfill your order and deliver your food to your doorstep between the hours of 1:00 - 5:00 pm PST. If you will be home during delivery times we will knock on your door and hand you a personal ROOT bag with your order. If you will not be home during delivery times, we will leave your order in a sealed cooler at your doorstep. We ask you to keep this cooler for us to fill again the following week! Step 5: Adjustments If items from your order were not available, or, changed in price; we will send you an email confirming a reimbursement to your payment account. Step 6: Enjoy! Enjoy your Farmers Market food, share feedback with our team, and look forward to next week!
  • What markets does ROOT deliver from?
    ROOT currently delivers from the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market on Tuesday.
  • When will you be at other markets?
    ROOT will be expanding soon to other farmers markets in the SouthBay as well as West Los Angeles. Sign up for our mailing list to receive updates about our service areas!
  • Does ROOT charge an order fee?
    Yes, we charge the customer a 15% service fee on their order total. We also charge a delivery fee of $5 for local delivery. This way our farmers keep 100% of their profit!
  • Is there a minimum order amount required for delivery?
    Yes, $30!
  • How do I pay?
    We accept all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • What can I order?
    You will be able to order any product sold at the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market. This includes edible products like produce, meat, poultry, seafood, packaged and cottage foods, and non-edible products such as flowers, seeds, and more.
  • I can’t find an item I need?
    Farmers Markets are constantly changing their inventory in accordance with the seasons and product availability. We do our best to keep our inventory completely up to date. If you have additional requests, feel free to include your request on your order form before checkout and we will do our best to find what you need.
  • When do I have to get my orders in?
    Orders are accepted up until Monday at 5:00 pm PST.
  • Can I edit my order?
    If you would like to edit an order after submission, please contact us within 12 hours of market open.
  • Can I cancel my order?
    If you ever foresee any reason for cancellation, you can cancel by contacting us up to 12 hours before the market opens to receive reimbursement.
  • What is ROOT's delivery schedule?
    Deliveries happen Tuesday afternoon from 1:00-5:00 pm PST. You will receive confirmation when your order has been delivered.
  • What happens if I am not there when the delivery occurs?
    We will leave your groceries in a sealed cooler bag at your doorstep. You can leave specific delivery instructions on your order form for grocery drop-off.
  • How far can ROOT deliver?
    We are currently only delivering in the South Bay. For out of range deliveries contact us.
